Template Usage

As the purchaser, you are given a limited right of use of these templates for your own professional photography business pursuits only. Only the original photographer who purchased these files may use them.

No use by a professional printing lab is approved or authorized. Professional printers who wish to offer our templates to their customers must contact Mid South Sports Media LLC for authorization.

Purchaser may change the font style and color of the fonts but may not repackage for sale, distribution, redistribution or publication of these templates in any fashion including giving them away to a third party.

Templates are sold as is and carry no warranty whatsoever and Mid South Sports does not imply any specific use of or fitness for any other purpose.

The purchase price of a Sportszone Template file includes only the design files. Most templates have enclosed font files to keep the look and feel of the original poster series design but these font files are supplied to you free of charge as they were downloaded from sites that offered them as free downloads. You have the option of using the included font(s) or you may change to a font of your choosing. Mid South makes no claim of ownership or warranty covering any font(s) supplied with a template.

Returns Policy

All digital downloads or DVD purchases of our templates are as is and final. No refunds will be granted. Each purchaser will receive 30 days of email support covering questions about the use of the template purchased.

No technical support is offered or available covering the use of Photoshop or any other software purchaser may employ with templates.

Shipping

In cases where the purchaser requests a DVD with purchased files an addtional fee will be charged for the cost of the DVD, file transfer time and shipping and handling costs.

Delivery of a DVD may take up to 14 business days.

File Information

Your purchased template may be delivered as a compressed and zipped file containing the template or template series you ordered for your photography business. You will need winzip or some other type of file utility to unpack the template files and save them to your designated template folder.

Template Layers Information

Almost everyone of our templates were designed using Photoshop CS4 and the layers have been merged with the exception of the editable layers for player names and school or event information.

To determine the editable layers look in the layers pallette.

Green indicates editable layers.

Red are non-editable.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not move layers from their current positions as this may impact their look and visiability.

Each template will either have an editable layer or will have specific folders set up that will allow you to change specific player/sports information. Each template is different but may contain a “Player” folder, a “Text” folder and a “Background” folder.

For “Text” folders you do not have to use all of the text layers that may be offered. You can select which information you want to include. You can turn a text layer on or off by clicking on the eye icon.

“Player” folders are where you will place your player cutout. Some templates may have a gradient layer applied to it. If so, you can use it aid in your design process when you place the player image in the proper place.

Note: The following may or may not apply to your template. You can also apply a small outer glow to the cutout player. To do so go to “Effects” left click on outerglow and then drag/drop the outglow onto your player. You can then go into the outer glow effects panel and fine tune the glow and color to suit the player.

The “Background” folder will hold the background and a color slider. Double click on the gradient icon and pull the slider left or right depending on the color you wish to match.

Once you have completed the steps below The template will save in an 8” x 12” size which most professional printing labs will crop vertically.

Using The Templates
1. Digitally cutout the athlete. Use the method you are comfortable with such as:
Green screen,
A Photoshop selection tool,
A Photoshop masking/cutout plug-in.

2. Drag & Drop or Copy & Paste your cutout athlete into the folder named “Player”.

3. Note: The following may or may not apply to your templates: Adjust the color slider to the athlete’s team colors.

Open the background folder. Select the background color slider and double click on the gradiant icon. Use the slider to select the players uniform colors you wish to match.

4. Note: The following may or may not apply to your templates: Personalize. Open the text folder. Personalize as much or as little as you want. To hide text layers not in use, just click the eye icon off.

5. Save As, Finally, save the file in the format you normally do such as a .jpg. The template will save in an 8” x 12” size. Typical professional printing labs will crop vertically so we have designed most of our templates with these proportions.
